This pass weekend, I had the chance to attend the Ms. Full Figured USA 2015 Pageant in Newark, New Jersey, along with the NC pageant director and some of the chosen delegates. It was an awesome experience to see all the beautiful women and their family/supporters rooting for them to be crowned queen. Beauty Review | Younique 3D Fiber Lashes + Royal Life Makeover

Hey Beauties,

Today's topic will focus on the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes. This product has definitely made a rave within the beauty community. Younique 3D Fiber Lashes will give you the comfort of having a hassle-free lash applying process. As a beauty enthusiast, I normally go through tons of lashes, when creating my makeup looks. I met the beautiful Chelae', during the Ms. Full Figured NC Pageant auditions. While chit chatting with her after the auditions, she told me she was a Independent Presenter for Younique; I was super excited! With all my raving about this product to her, I was gifted the opportunity to give the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes a try. Within this post, I will give you my pros and cons of Younique 3D Fiber lashes, since I've had the opportunity to use it for awhile. Also, for more details on how to get a chance meet Chelae' at the Women's Empowerment this weekend; Just keep on reading Now, let's get into this review!

The Younique 3D Lashes comes in the sleek black textured case. I love the packaging of this product. The two applicators: Moodstruck Transparent Gel, Moodstruck Natural Fibers.

My Natural Lashes

3D Fiber Lashes w/ Mascara

It is instructed to apply the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes with your favorite mascara. I used the Maybelline Pumped Up! Colassal Volum'Express Mascara as my base. Then applied two applications of the 3D Lash system.

3D Fiber Lashes w/o Mascara

You can also go without the store brand mascara base coat, giving you a less fuller look.

My overall opinion still remains the same. Since I've had this product I find myself reaching for it more, instead of applying lashes.

Meet Chelae' at Women's Empowerment

This upcoming weekend, Saturday, April 18, 2015, Pure Face Challenge & Independent Younique Presenters will be vendors (booth 36/37) at Women's Empowerment here in Raleigh, NC. A Premier/Celebrity Makeup Artist will also be at the booth providing makeup services, 3D Fiber Lashes & FREE Consultations. For early booking CLICK THE LINK!

The Style Symposium Recap

Hey Dolls,

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend an amazing event hosted by the fashionably stylish duo byKikiSol. This Style Symposium was the first of many to come from the byKikiSol style series. The topic of the day was Curvy Confidence and as plus-sized women how it could be hard to stand out in this straight-sized world. This panel of beautiful women shared so many awesome tips, tricks, and encouraging words on how to be confident as a curvy women, and also how to encourage other women to be confident in themselves. I truly enjoyed this open discussion, allowing us in the audience a chance to freely share our own curvy confident experiences. By listening to these ladies stories I gain so much more knowledge that will definitely help me in my journey to self-love. Thank you soooo much ladies for this opportunity, I can't wait to see whats up for discussion at the next Style Symposium!

Spring Blues

Hey Dolls,

I know I promised the details to this look awhile ago, but as a full-time student sometimes my passion for blogging has to take the backseat to my education. I received a large response on my FB Like Page, Style Stories of Katiyah Jo'Nel, and I knew I had to keep my promise. I created this spring inspired makeup look, in hopes it would bring sunnier days. Even though spring is here, where I live we are still experiencing some chilly weather. I hope this look brings a little sunshine to your day. Enjoy:)

Primer: Rimmel London Stay Matte
Foundation: Black Radiance Color Perfect "Brownie"
Under-eye Highlight: L.A. Girl Pro Concealer "Toffee"
Highlight Set: Ruby Kisses HD Setting Pwdr "Banana"
Contour: E.L.F Contouring Blush & Bronzing Duo "Turks & Caicos"
Blush: MAC "Peaches"

Eyeshadow Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion
Eyebrows: Nicka K Auto Liner "Dark Brown"
Inner Corner Base: NYX Jumbo Pencil "Horseradish"
Inner Corner: Almay Singles "Honeydew"
Center Base: NYX Jumbo Pencil "Peacock"
Center Lid: Milani Singles "Bella Teal"
Outer Corner: Milani Singles "Bella Navy"
Eye Liner: E.L.F Liquid Liner

Younique 3D Fiber Lash System
I was gifted this 3D lash system to be reviewed, but before given you a review I wanted to use it for awhile. The instructions to these 3D fiber lashes tells you to apply regular mascara first, but with this application I did not do so. With applying the regular mascara first, my lashes look too clumpy in my opinion. I do see myself reaching for this product, because of the simplicity of not needing lashes or lash glue.

Lip Liner: MAC "Cork"
Lipstick: MAC "Velvet Teddy"
Gloss: Nanacoco "Hidden Desire"

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my 'Spring Blues' makeup look. I always encourage feedback, so please don't be afraid to leave a COMMENT BELOW. Please don't forget to JOIN my blog to stay up-to-date with the newest blog post & SHARE this post with friends.

The Reality Show

Hey Dolls,

So around mid-February, I had gotten wind that Jazmine Sullivan-- the amazing, talented, R&B artist-- was coming to NC. I've always been into her music, and her new album Reality Show, has been on repeat since I got it. Since I haven't been to an actual concert in ages, this was my perfect excuse for a weekend getaway. Also during my getaway, I had a chance to eat some amazing food from Pisces Sushi Bar & Lounge and Mert's Heart & Soul. And I also hit the streets checking out the local nightlife by going to Club Label. Here's the STYLE STORY of my weekend getaway.

Who Rocked Their Curves the Best

Hey Curvy Cuties,

About  week ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Kenyatta Johnson founder of the organization,  I Rock My Curves the Best "The Movement", at a casting call/ interest meeting she hosted in Raleigh, NC. If your unfamiliar with this curvy movement, let me give you the real. This movement is a membership based curvy sisterhood, that was created to empower, uplift, celebrate, and embrace women with curves. It was such an amazing experience, to have had the chance to sit in during the auditions. There was so many beautiful women that came to audition and also to support IRMC during this time. The one thing that really stuck with me from the auditions, was when each of the women that were auditoning was presented the question, "Why did you choose to want to be apart of IRMC?'  Each women generally stated, that they want to inspire other full figured women to be confident and to see there inward beauty.

Members of IRMC

Some of the beautiful ladies that came to audition...

Mini Interview w/ Kenyatta Johnson

How did your started your movement "I Rock My Curves the Best"?
Kenyatta Johnson: It started itself by plus size and full figured women living their daily lives. This movement gives women in our community a platform to shine and also to encourage others that have yet to see their inner beauty.

What else are you involved with?
I am also the owner of 'My Sweet Skin' The Skin & Makeup Company, which provides natural skincare products for the face and body. I am also a professional makeup artist and I provide those services as well.

Whats in the future for IRMC?
The future  for IRMC is just to spread the movement worldwide, and to keep encouraging women of all shapes to believe in themselves.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this blog feature. I also want to thank, Kenyatta Johnson, for allowing to me be apart of her curvy movement journey. Please don't forget to CLICK all the links, to check out what's new with these lovely ladies. Also don't forget to JOIN & SHARE!!!
