Jersey Getaway + Ms. Full-Figured USA 2015

Hey Beauties,

So I've been keeping a secret from you guys. I kind of mentioned it in my last post, but I didn't really go into much detail about my big secret..lol. Well about two months ago, I was asked to be apart of the Ms. Full Figured NC Pageant Team. Of course I accepted the offer, and I am now the image consultant/stylist for the first Ms. Full Figured NC Pageant. I am beyond excited to be able to share my fashion perspective and expertise with these beautiful young ladies. For these pass two months, we have went through the interest meeting and auditions for the pageant, and the delegates have been chosen. This pass weekend, I had the chance to attend the Ms. Full Figured USA 2015 Pageant in Newark, New Jersey, along with the NC pageant director and some of the chosen delegates. It was an awesome experience to see all the beautiful women and their family/supporters rooting for them to be crowned queen. It was also amazing to see what's to come for the Ms. Full Figured NC delegates in their journey to become the first Ms. Full Figured NC 2015.We have about five months before "pageant day",  I will try to keep you posted on my journey as the image consultant for the Ms. Full Figured NC Pageant. Also, I caught an amazing sale on Rue107.com and decided to be a #ruebabe for the weekend...lol, here are the highlights from my amazing weekend getaway. Enjoy!

Beauty Review | Younique 3D Fiber Lashes + Royal Life Makeover

Hey Beauties,

Today's topic will focus on the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes. This product has definitely made a rave within the beauty community. Younique 3D Fiber Lashes will give you the comfort of having a hassle-free lash applying process. As a beauty enthusiast, I normally go through tons of lashes, when creating my makeup looks. I met the beautiful Chelae', during the Ms. Full Figured NC Pageant auditions. While chit chatting with her after the auditions, she told me she was a Independent Presenter for Younique; I was super excited! With all my raving about this product to her, I was gifted the opportunity to give the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes a try. Within this post, I will give you my pros and cons of Younique 3D Fiber lashes, since I've had the opportunity to use it for awhile. Also, for more details on how to get a chance meet Chelae' at the Women's Empowerment this weekend; Just keep on reading Now, let's get into this review!

The Younique 3D Lashes comes in the sleek black textured case. I love the packaging of this product. The two applicators: Moodstruck Transparent Gel, Moodstruck Natural Fibers.

My Natural Lashes

3D Fiber Lashes w/ Mascara

It is instructed to apply the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes with your favorite mascara. I used the Maybelline Pumped Up! Colassal Volum'Express Mascara as my base. Then applied two applications of the 3D Lash system.

3D Fiber Lashes w/o Mascara

You can also go without the store brand mascara base coat, giving you a less fuller look.

My overall opinion still remains the same. Since I've had this product I find myself reaching for it more, instead of applying lashes.

Meet Chelae' at Women's Empowerment

The Style Symposium Recap

Hey Dolls,

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend an amazing event hosted by the fashionably stylish duo byKikiSol. This Style Symposium was the first of many to come from the byKikiSol style series. The topic of the day was Curvy Confidence and as plus-sized women how it could be hard to stand out in this straight-sized world. This panel of beautiful women shared so many awesome tips, tricks, and encouraging words on how to be confident as a curvy women, and also how to encourage other women to be confident in themselves. I truly enjoyed this open discussion, allowing us in the audience a chance to freely share our own curvy confident experiences. By listening to these ladies stories I gain so much more knowledge that will definitely help me in my journey to self-love. Thank you soooo much ladies for this opportunity, I can't wait to see whats up for discussion at the next Style Symposium!

Spring Blues

Hey Dolls,

I know I promised the details to this look awhile ago, but as a full-time student sometimes my passion for blogging has to take the backseat to my education. I received a large response on my FB Like Page, Style Stories of Katiyah Jo'Nel, and I knew I had to keep my promise. I created this spring inspired makeup look, in hopes it would bring sunnier days. Even though spring is here, where I live we are still experiencing some chilly weather. I hope this look brings a little sunshine to your day. Enjoy:)

~Mascara~

Younique 3D Fiber Lash System
I was gifted this 3D lash system to be reviewed, but before given you a review I wanted to use it for awhile. The instructions to these 3D fiber lashes tells you to apply regular mascara first, but with this application I did not do so. With applying the regular mascara first, my lashes look too clumpy in my opinion. I do see myself reaching for this product, because of the simplicity of not needing lashes or lash glue.

~Lips~

Lip Liner: MAC "Cork"
Lipstick: MAC "Velvet Teddy"
Gloss: Nanacoco "Hidden Desire"
