The Reality Show

Hey Dolls,

So around mid-February, I had gotten wind that Jazmine Sullivan-- the amazing, talented, R&B artist-- was coming to NC. I've always been into her music, and her new album Reality Show, has been on repeat since I got it. Since I haven't been to an actual concert in ages, this was my perfect excuse for a weekend getaway. Also during my getaway, I had a chance to eat some amazing food from Pisces Sushi Bar & Lounge and Mert's Heart & Soul. And I also hit the streets checking out the local nightlife by going to Club Label. Here's the STYLE STORY of my weekend getaway.

Who Rocked Their Curves the Best

Hey Curvy Cuties,

About  week ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Kenyatta Johnson founder of the organization,  I Rock My Curves the Best "The Movement", at a casting call/ interest meeting she hosted in Raleigh, NC. If your unfamiliar with this curvy movement, let me give you the real. This movement is a membership based curvy sisterhood, that was created to empower, uplift, celebrate, and embrace women with curves. It was such an amazing experience, to have had the chance to sit in during the auditions. There was so many beautiful women that came to audition and also to support IRMC during this time. The one thing that really stuck with me from the auditions, was when each of the women that were auditoning was presented the question, "Why did you choose to want to be apart of IRMC?'  Each women generally stated, that they want to inspire other full figured women to be confident and to see there inward beauty.

Mini Interview w/ Kenyatta Johnson

How did your started your movement "I Rock My Curves the Best"?
Kenyatta Johnson: It started itself by plus size and full figured women living their daily lives. This movement gives women in our community a platform to shine and also to encourage others that have yet to see their inner beauty.

What else are you involved with?
I am also the owner of 'My Sweet Skin' The Skin & Makeup Company, which provides natural skincare products for the face and body. I am also a professional makeup artist and I provide those services as well.

Whats in the future for IRMC?
The future  for IRMC is just to spread the movement worldwide, and to keep encouraging women of all shapes to believe in themselves.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this blog feature. I also want to thank, Kenyatta Johnson, for allowing to me be apart of her curvy movement journey. Please don't forget to CLICK all the links, to check out what's new with these lovely ladies. Also don't forget to JOIN & SHARE!!!
